Latino Review tells us they've posted a new script review for the upcoming David Ellis-directed New Line drama, Cellular, starring Kim Basinger, Chris Evans, William H. Macy and Jason Statham. Here's a taste...

Simply put, next year this movie is gonna make drug dealer dollars at the box office. Count on it. If 28 days later proved anything, a great plot will go far. This script was such a page turner and I knew I was in the hands of a master storyteller like Larry Cohen. I loved reading this screenplay!

Kaufman has a great concept for this film, but I feel as if he ultimately misses his mark here. This is the third script I have read for this film (I was able to read two previous drafts as well), and while each one has gotten better, mainly through tightening up the middle act, it still seems as if something is missing. Still, there are some great sequences I�m looking forward to seeing, particularly in how they managed to translate this to the screen.
