Maria Bello (Coyote Ugly) will star opposite Chris Cooper and Daryl Hannah in John Sayles' Silver City, which is set to start production in Denver on September 23. The film is budgeted between $5 million and $6 million.
The murder mystery is about a gubernatorial campaign and disgraced investigative reporter in Colorado. Also starring are Cheech Marin, Danny Huston and Kris Kristofferson.
Bello is currently filming Secret Window opposite Johnny Depp for Columbia Pictures. She will next be seen in The Cooler, which also stars William H. Macy, on November 19.
